In order to make better known the violations of basic rights experienced by human rights defenders in Guerrero and Oaxaca, and to have a greater impact in preventing these abuses, PBI invited a delegation of lawyers to visit these two Mexican states. Co-coordinated by the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales, 13 lawyers from Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States participated in the delegation. The group travelled to Guerrero and Oaxaca in the first week of December, finding out about some of the most emblematic cases of at-risk human rights defenders accompanied by PBI.
