Mexico City, 23 July 2015.- Peace Brigades International, as a result of a joint effort from different field projects and national groups, produced a new documentary that illustrates the risks of human rights defenders (HRDs) devoted to the defense of the land and territory within the context of large-scale investment projects in Latin America.

Oaxaca de Juarez, 26 June 2015.- Coinciding with the United Nations' International Day in support of Victims of Torture, Código-DH and the Collective against Torture and Impunity (CCTI, for its initials in Spanish) presented a joint report titled “Investigation of Torture in Mexico”.

Mexico City, 8 July 2015.- Today, 8 July, PBI, together with the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) participated in a session of the EU Council's Working Group on Human Rights to discuss protection mechanisms for human rights defenders working within the context of European large-scale investment projects. The intervention began with the presentation of a video which narrates the stories and the situation of risk of HRDs working on land rights issues in Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Colombia.

Not every family can celebrate Mother's Day in the same way. In Mexico, thousands of mothers spend the 10th of May like any other day: searching for their loved ones and demanding authorities to investigate the disappearances.
