Defend Human Rights in the Americas!
Human rights are still being violated in the Americas today. When countries fail to defend their own citizens the Inter-American Commission and Court of Human Rights stand up to defend their rights. The Inter-American Human Rights System (IAS) is the last hope for justice for millions of people in the region.
About a year ago, various members of the Organization of American States (OAS) attempted to weaken the Inter-American System through a reform process which will be decided on in an Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting of the OAS on March 22, 2013.
We must act now to defend those who defend us. Hundreds of people committed to human rights, including numerous celebrities, have already signed a declaration defending the Inter-American System. Add your name to the petition and speak up for human rights!
