La Desaparición forzada : una cicatriz abierta en México

Al conmemorarse los 4 años de la desaparición de los 43 estudiantes de la Normal rural de Ayotzinapa (Guerrero), PBI se solidariza con todas las personas que siguen buscando a sus familiares, enfrentándose a una impunidad insoportable de manera inspiradora, con fuerza y dignidad inspiradora.  


Forced disappearance: an open wound in Mexico

As we commemorate 4 years from the disappearance of the 43 students from the rural college of Ayotzinapa (Guerrero), PBI stands in solidarity with all those searching for their family members, coming up against unbearable impunity with strength and inspiring dignity.


Justice for Valentina

Valentina Rosendo Cantú, indigenous me´phaa woman, originally from the community of Caxitepec, municipality of Acatepec in the high mountains of Guerrero, was victim of sexual torture by military members in 2002, a case in which the responsability of the Mexican State was decided by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) in August 2010.


The concerning electoral context

On 1st July 2018 general elections will take place in Mexico, which as well as determining the presidency for the next 6 years, coincide with several local elections.  These will be the largest elections in Mexican history with 3,400 positions being decided.
